Notes:
The 1893 Silver Dollar has a mintage almost half that of the 1893-CC,
yet in Mint State, the 1893 is actually more common than the
1893-CC. Most of the Uncirculated examples seen of this date
are in MS-63 or MS-64 condition, and Gems become quite scarce.
Prooflikes and Deep Mirror Prooflikes are incredibly rare. The
finest examples graded by PCGS are 3 MS-66's, a single MS-60
Prooflike,
and a single MS-62 Deep Mirror Prooflike.
Like most Morgan Silver Dollar Proofs, Gem and better examples are
hard to find. However, if you're looking for the very best
quality, this is the date for you. PCGS has
graded only one PR-69 Morgan Dollar of any date and it was an
1893! The finest Proof Cameo example is a single PRCA-67 and the
finest Proof Deep Cameos are 3 PRDC-67s.
