Notes:
The 1887-O Morgan Silver Dollar is somewhat scarce in Uncirculated condition and Gems are
elusive. The most
"common" Uncirculated grade is MS-63, followed by MS-62 and
MS-64, in that order. Gems
and Prooflikes and Deep Mirror Prooflikes are available but not in large
quantities. The finest examples
certified by PCGS are 6 MS-66's, a single MS-66 Prooflike, and a single MS-66 Deep
Mirror Prooflike.
One interesting variety is
the 1887/6-O, which shows a faint 6 below the second 7 of the date.
There are 59 MS-65's that rank as the finest
certified by PCGS. No Prooflike or Deep Mirror
Prooflike examples of the overdate have been certified by PCGS.
