Notes:
The 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar is the second most common date in the series (after the 1881-S) and it is known for being well struck, bright and visually appealing.  The most common Uncirculated grades are MS-64 and MS-65; even MS-67 examples are readily obtainable.  The finest examples graded by PCGS are 5 MS-69's, a single MS-69 Prooflike, and 2 MS-68 Deep Mirror Prooflikes.

Two rare overdates include one with a 7 beneath the second 8 of the date and another with a 9 under the 0.

The finest "8/7" examples graded by PCGS are 4 MS-67's, 2 MS-66 Prooflikes, and a single MS-67 Deep Mirror Prooflike.

The finest "1880/9" examples graded by PCGS is a single MS-68, 3 MS-65 Prooflikes, and 4 MS-66 Deep Mirror Prooflikes.
