Auctions, Inc.'s Mail Bid Sale, October 14, 2000, Lot 1164, where it
was described (in part) as follows: "This coin is a bit of an
anachronism, as it bears the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” on the
reverse (a motto that did not appear on any U.S. coins until 1864).
Thus, it is highly likely that this coin was struck after 1865! Both
sides have some light toning and a small area of milky hazing
appears on the right side of the obverse. Some light surface
hairlines keep this otherwise attractive coin out of the Choice
class."
