Newcomb-3, Rarity-3…With a small planchet lamination in the field behind the neck. Medium steel brown with a few minor nicks on both sides and an unimportant edge dent between S and T of STATES. Tied for eight finest known with perhaps five other examples.", not sold

The reverse die of this variety was also used earlier on 1834 Newcomb 1.
