Newcomb-2, Rarity-3…There is a tiny planchet clip over star two. Smooth darkish steel brown surfaces. Defect free and really a nice cent.", sold for $460.00

This was the only use of the obverse die.

The reverse die of this variety was also used on 1835 Newcomb 4.
