In 1992, Wright knew of six Proof examples of this variety.  The National Numismatic Collection at the Smithsonian Institution contains a Proof example of this variety (1985.0441.0234).

The obverse die of this variety was also used on:
1830 Newcomb 3
1830 Newcomb 4

This was the only use of the reverse die.
