From the "Pre-Long Beach Sale", June 5-7, 2000, Lot 236, where
it was described as follows:
"1803 NC-1 R5+ F15+ About 10 points sharper but the right obverse
field has been very lightly burnished to remove a few hairline scratches. In
addition, there are some light nicks scattered about both sides, none notable,
and a small rim bruise at the O in OF. Recolored glossy steel brown and
chocolate with traces of frosty tan in a couple protected areas of the obverse.
LDS, the crack at NITE visible but not strong. CC#2 as net VF20 in both the
Bland and Noyes census lists, but the #1 coin is permanently impounded in the
ANS museum.
