where it was described as follows:
"1797 S-137 R2 EF45 Choice uniform glossy chocolate brown. There is
a barely visible rim bruise left of the lowest curl, otherwise defect-free.
E-MDS, the obverse die shows some light flaking in the fields and the reverse is
just starting to swell at RICA. Graded AU50 (choice) by both Noyes and Bland,
tied for CC#1 in the Noyes list, #3 in the Bland list. Perhaps they gave it a
little boost due to the outstanding eye appeal. It's a beautiful cent.
