Superior "Pre-Long Beach Sale", 06/2000:151, where it was described as
follows:
"1797 S-129 R6 VF35 Sharpness EF40 with a few tiny rim nicks on both sides
and a dull nick on the right top of E in ONE. Nicely recolored glossy steel
brown and chocolate with some frosty light brown in protected areas of the
reverse. Graded EF40 by Bill Noyes and Del Bland. CC#1 in the Noyes census, tied
for CC#1 with the ANS example in the Bland census. The best behind these two is
only VF20, making this example by far the finest available to collectors. MDS.
This is the plate coin in the Noyes book.
