"1900-S is the third "Philippine" date. In our
last book on Barber halves this coin was ranked 4th in mint state. Since
then its population has more than doubled, although it remains very scarce
in Gem and superb Gem condition. It comes well struck with nice luster, but
sometimes with planchet striations (see 1896-S)."1
The finest example graded by
PCGS is a single MS-67.
