Regarding Proofs, Davis et al noted that there were "At least seven proofs reported" for this variety, but that they had only confirmed the existence of a single specimen (the 1981 Bareford example).

The obverse die of this variety was also used on:
1825 JR 1

This was the only use of the reverse die.
