"Extremely Fine"
(illustrated above). Ex - Early American History Auctions, Inc.'s
Mail Bid Sale, April 21, 2001, Lot 1078, where it was described as
follows: "1788 VT Copper, Bust Right, Ryder 25, Choice Extremely
Fine. 127.9 grains. Struck on a tight, undersized planchet,
such that most of INDE is off the planchet on the reverse. The obverse
is well-centered and most of the date remains on the planchet. This is
an early state of the dies, without the die break that runs across the
base of the figure's neck. The planchet remains in excellent condition
and the color is a deep brown with lighter high points. The reverse has
some insignificant traces of old corrosion that we mention solely for
the sake of accuracy."

"Fine"
(illustrated below). Ex - Early American History
Auctions, Inc.'s Mail Bid Sale, October 14, 2000, Lot 1015, where it was
described as follows: "90.1 grains. Dark chocolate with some
ultra-faint surface porosity, quite typical for the grade and the
variety. The details are good and the overall appearance is pleasing."
