PCGS MS-63 (illustrated above). Thick Planchet. Ex - Early American History
Auctions, Inc.'s Mail Bid Sale, October 14, 2000, Lot 1020, where it was
described as follows: "Struck from an earlier state of the dies
than seen on the Thin Planchet variety offered elsewhere in this sale,
but there is still plenty of die rust evident in the fields. This
example is also quite glossy, with chestnut brown surfaces that show no
breaks in the color or luster. A fantastic coin for the collector of
quality Colonials. Tied for finest graded at PCGS." - Early American History
Auctions, Inc.'s Mail Bid Sale, April 21, 2001, Lot 1084

PCGS MS-62 (illustrated above). Thick Planchet. Ex - Early
American History Auctions, Inc.'s Mail Bid Sale, December 9, 2000, Lot 894,
where it was described as follows: "1789 Mott Token, Thick
Planchet, Plain Edge, PCGS graded Mint State-62. 167.8
grains. Glossy dark brown, with the usual die rust seen on both sides
and just a tiny cud on the upper left corner of the clock (this later
expands to nearly obliterate the face of the clock). One of the Finest
Certified by PCGS. The details on this coin are so extremely sharp, that
one can easily read each and every number on the face of the clock! One
would be hard pressed to ever be lucky enough to locate a finer, sharper
example."
