17.3 grains). Ex - Superior Stamp &
Coin's "Pre-Long Beach Sale", June 5-7, 2000, Lot 2, where it was
described as follows: "1652 Mass Pine Tree Threepence N34 R5 PCGS AU50
Glossy medium gray with lighter silvery gray toning on the highpoints. The
details are sharply struck up and the surfaces are lustrous. Close to Mint
State, just a bit of light friction on the highpoints and no contact marks or
planchet defects. The obverse is struck slightly off center to K-12.5, the
reverse to K-10.5. Far superior to the Norweb example, although that piece was
centered a bit better. Weight listed on the PCGS label as 17.3 grains."
