"Fine-15, Planchet Flaw."  Ex - Al C. Overton's "ANA Convention Auction" Sale, 1965, Lot 1782 - Alfred S. Lippman collection - Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc.'s "2000 Santa Clara" Sale, November 16-17, 2000, Lot 5001, where it was described (in part) as follows: "1652 Pine Tree Shilling Fine 15 Planchet Flaw. Small Planchet. Breen-52, Noe-18, Crosby 23-L. 4.25 grams. The devices are generally well struck for the type, but a sizeable planchet flaw over the lower right obverse has effaced the definition there and in the corresponding area on the reverse. The surfaces are predominantly dove-gray in color with light pastel undertones."

Notes:
The reverse die of this variety was also used on:
Noe 19
