EF-40 (illustrated below).
Superior Galleries' "Pre-Long Beach" Sale, October 1-3,
2000, Lot 1002, where it was described as follows: "Noe-17
Rarity-4 EF40. Bright silvery gray delicately toning down to bluish
steel on the highpoints, probably dipped. The surfaces are uniformly
covered with minute granularity but there are no planchet fissures
or contact marks. Struck slightly off center causing IN M to be
tight to the edge, but the legends are complete. Later die state so
the "birdnest" break in the tree is strong. Nicely struck
without any weak areas. Weight 68.2 grains."
