Recent appearances:
PCGS AU-50.  Ex - Heritage Numismatic Auctions, Inc.'s "Long Beach Signature Sale", September 23-24,1999, Lot 5375.  As of 9/6/99, this was the finest example of the variety certified by PCGS.

"Very Fine, lightly tooled" (illustrated below).  Ex - Early American Numismatics, Inc., Mail Bid Sale April 21, 2001, Lot 1023, where it was described as follows: "1652 MA "Oak Tree" Sixpence, Noe 16, Very Fine, lightly tooled.  Rarity 5 (Rare). 33.3 grains. Struck on a thin, out-of-round planchet and tooled or scraped long ago in many of the fields. In spite of all this, the coin has some nice details. A golden-brown toning surrounds many of the legends, adding to the visual appeal of the piece. This piece is clearly finer than Norweb:1174, which brought $1,000 way back in the "ancient history" days of 1987!"
