described as follows: "1788 Massachusetts Cent. Ryder 8-C
Rarity-2. PCGS graded Mint State 64 Brown. Choice glossy medium brown
and chocolate with traces of faded mint red in protected areas and
underlying mint luster covering both sides. No spots. The planchet is
excellent showing just a few microscopic voids at CHU above the eagle's
head. The only contact marks, and they are barely visible, are a couple
short hairline scratches at AS, CH, and under the third S in
MASSACHUSETTS. Outstanding eye appeal."
