PCGS MS-64 Brown (illustrated above).  Ex - Superior Galleries New York ANA Sale, August 1-3, 2002, Lot 67, illustrated, where it was described as follows: "1788 Massachusetts Cent. Ryder 8-C Rarity-2. PCGS graded Mint State 64 Brown. Choice glossy medium brown and chocolate with traces of faded mint red in protected areas and underlying mint luster covering both sides. No spots. The planchet is excellent showing just a few microscopic voids at CHU above the eagle's head. The only contact marks, and they are barely visible, are a couple short hairline scratches at AS, CH, and under the third S in MASSACHUSETTS. Outstanding eye appeal."
