On this variety, the arrows are in the eagle's right talon (viewer's left).

This was the only use of the obverse and reverse dies.

Significant examples:
In the February 2005 issue of NUMISMATIST (page 63), William Anton offered a 1787 Massachusetts Transposed Arrows for $195,000.00, describing it as follows: "AU."  He also offered an Extra Fine example on an oversized flan for $165,000.00
