Bid Sale, August 25, 2001, Lot 1469, "Crisp, glossy brown surfaces with a smooth,
hard luster on both sides. Virtually all of the original red color has disappeared and been replaced with a gorgeous, tan-brown color. This
example was struck from a late state of the dies, with an obvious break
and bulge on the lower obverse that prevented the metal from filling in
the recesses of the reverse die."
