Max Mehl, February 27, 1917 - Strong Museum - Stack's "66th Anniversary Sale", October 16, 2001, Lot 225, illustrated, where it was described as follows: "1787 M.33.20-Z.9 (R-5). Extremely Fine. 129.7 grains. Die crack curves EC: * to toga.  A mid-Condition Census piece struck on a fascinating ovoid planchet, planchet defect at C of CONNEC:, clip at 6:30 interrupts a sharply denticulated rim, hint of encrustation on reverse right border."
