Recent appearances:
"VG-8" (illustrated above).  Ex - Mike Ringo - Bill Weber - Superior Galleries' "The Pre-Long Beach Sale", June 3-4, 2002, Lot 2107, illustrated, where it was described as follows: "Overdate 1787 over 1887. Nice glossy medium brown and chocolate. The only notable mark is a shallow planchet fissure at the throat, as struck. A small, curved planchet clip shows at the rim over the back of the head. LDS. An attractive example, just worn. The overdate 7 over 8 is faint. Weight 118.4 grains."
