NGC Proof-65 (illustrated

2000, Lot 4418, where it was described as follows: "Judd-1680,
Pollock-1882. Nickel. Plain Edge. Superb cameo frosted relief on a
base of mirror-polished Proof fields. An attractive gem. During
1882, C. E. Barber continued his attempt to produce an acceptable
design for a new five cent piece, after several experiments in 1881.
Judd-1680 has a large Roman numeral V in a wreath with no
denomination; E PLURIBUS UNUM in small letters follows the rim at
top."
