Significant examples:
NGC Proof-65 (illustrated
above). Ex - Superior Galleries' "Pre-Long Beach Sale", October 1-3,
2000, Lot 4405, where it was described as follows: "Pollock-145.
Nickel. Plain Edge. The early "perforated" Cent Pattern
without the central hole (unlisted in Judd). Struck on a nickel
alloy planchet, Eliasberg's was Proof 65, while Pollock rates this
as very rare (Rarity-7, only 4 to 12 known). Judd, while he didn't
list this in his regular section, did put it in "Appendix
A" which features die trial and hub trials. A rare item!"
