The pair of die trials
illustrated above are ex - Charles Bushnell - Henry Garrett. The
obverse was certified as an AU-53 by PCGS; the reverse as an XF-45 by
PCGS. Northeast Numismatics offered the pair for $79,500.00 in the
July 29, 2002 issue of Coin World and they were reportedly sold at (or by)
the 2002 American Numismatic Convention in New York City in August 2002
for an undisclosed price.
