"The 1901-O&S are both hard to obtain. The 1901-O is slightly more available, but comes with a much softer strike than either of the other two. Finding decent specimens will be possible if your expectations are not too high.

Because of its very low mintage, the 1901-S enjoys strong demand. This date is never available for very long. In general it comes with a strong strike and sometimes semi-proof-like luster."<sup>1
