Notes:
"With less than 2 million quarters
made in all three Mints combined, 1913 is a year with the lowest mintage in
the series. Before the advent of certification, the 1913-P was thought to be
a very rare coin. When complete sets of Barber quarters were auctioned off
the 1913-P was almost always a proof. However, now we see that despite its
very low mintage this coin was saved in substantial quantities. Because its
price has remained fairly high, several specimens of 1913-P can usually be
found on the market at any one time."1
