Notes:

"1904-O is far scarcer in trouble-free condition that its R4 rating [Very Scarce] implies. Not only is this date usually poorly struck, but many examples come with a facial depression caused by saw dust stuck to the planchet (saw dust was used by the New Orleans' Mint to dry the planchet stock. 1904-O half dollars almost always display this facial depression)."
